Erja Lyytinen, “The Queen of Slide Guitar” is a multi-award-winning guitarist. In recent times Lyytinen was ranked #2 on Total Guitar´s “World´s Best Guitarists Now” poll as well as being recognised as “Guitarist of the Year” at the European Blues Awards. In 2021, the artist was proudly inducted into the Finnish Music Hall of Fame. In 2022 Lyytinen got her own star in the Finnish Music’s Walk of Fame. In November 2022 Lyytinen was nominated in Maple Blues Awards, as a first Finnish musician in history.

Published in October 2022, Lyytinen’s latest studio album ‘Waiting For The Daylight’ illustrates a further step in the High Flying Finn’s musical and artistic development. The album was proudly produced by Lyytinen herself, and has gotten rave reviews in music media internationally. With this album Lyytinen pays a homage to classic rock bands from 60’s and 70’s, such as Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Uriah Keep.

Lyytinen’s musical pallet is vast, encompassing the very best of contemporary blues-rock whilst inspired and influenced by the blues greats of yore. And that respect for those guitar greats has been reciprocated throughout the years.
